What would happen if you left the faith in which all of your ancestors had brought you up?
Su is facing a similar tension. She chose to follow Christ last fall shortly after hearing the gospel from two girls on the team.
Her life is radically changed. She now has hope and joy and peace with God that she didn’t have before. She’s one of the warmest people I’ve met, and she’s eager to tell others about Jesus.
She also has new conflict. Her family is Hindu, and they’re not happy about her decision. Her uncle rudely dismisses her. She has had phone privileges removed, and is generally isolated from family.
Su led the girls’ bible study recently, where she taught about Jesus’ return. She spoke about the angst of anticipation along with the responsibility He’s given us. After sharing her testimony she said, “If I can share Jesus, I think anyone else can.”
Additionally, she comes from one of the largest people groups in South Asia. Find out more here: http://joshuaproject.net/people_groups/16187/IN
Thank you for your prayers! I anticipate great things as God uses Gateway to reach South Asia with the gospel. Would you pray for Su to be strong and encouraged as she faces the neglect and disagreement of her family?
